Brockport Summer Art Fest

Check out the Brockport Summer Art Festival for a day full of fun! In addition to the festival food and music performances at two different stages, over 100 artists and exhibitors take part in this juried arts and crafts show. There’s also free entertainment for the whole family! Saturday features “Cool Kids” activities, while Sunday events include the Farmer’s Market and the popular Duck Derby. Visit the Kashi Yoga Studio to participate in Kashi’s Day of Change, or go on one of the hourly canal cruises! Everyone’s sure to love the many unique activities and events of this festival.

Where: The Brockport Summer Art Festival takes place along 10 blocks of downtown Brockport, starting at the Erie Canal.
When: August 9 from 10am-6pm and August 10 from 10am-5pm.
Cost: Admission is free to the public. Parking is on side streets and several nearby free lots, and there also is a free shuttle at SUNY Brockport.

Buffalo Bills Training Camp

Watch the Bills in action at practice at the 2008 Buffalo Bills Training Camp! Held annually at St. John Fisher College , this local camp is one of the top training camps in the NFL. Children and adults can enjoy interactive games, test their football skills in the Bills Experience, and purchase exclusive 2008 Bills gear from the vendor tent. Fans of all ages will have fun at this wonderful event that regularly attracts fans from across New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Canada!

August 21-September 1:
New York State Fair

Be sure not to miss the 2008 showcase of New York’s best agriculture, entertainment, education, industry, and technology! Experience the top-notch entertainment, unique cultural events, fascinating exhibits, thrilling midway attractions, delicious food, and agricultural, livestock, and culinary competitions. While you’re there, enjoy live music performances by some of the biggest names in the music industry! For the little ones, there’s a petting zoo and Kiddieland – families can feel comfortable there, away from the breath-stealing thrills of the big midway rides the older crowds love. Everyone can enjoy the circus and daily parade – every evening at 6pm.

Where: The New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, NY are adjacent to Route 690 West.
When: Gates open at 8am daily, and the exhibit buildings are open from 10am-10pm except on Labor Day when they close at 9pm. The Midway is open until midnight every night.
Cost: Admission is $10 at any gate. Children 12 and under are admitted free. Parking in designated lots is $5 per vehicle.

Pooch Parade & Dog Festival

Join Rochester Children’s Theatre in their presentation of the first annual Pooch Parade & Dog Festival!
